To wrap up May and welcome the upcoming season, we invite you to experience the club like never before. On Saturday, May 30, Queer LifeSpace and Peaches Christ Productions are taking over to build a truly unique environment right here inside our walls.
Directed by Michael Phillis, Amador Obscura is an exciting, free-roaming theatrical adaptation inspired by Thighs Wide Shut. Instead of traditional theater seating, the stage boundaries are removed, allowing you to enjoy the performance as it unfolds organically all around you.
THE EXPERIENCE
The Space
For one night only, three full floors of The Bank + Amador will be completely transformed. The historic architecture and familiar rooms are being reimagined as an atmospheric backdrop, where more than twenty actors and drag performers will bring a series of live vignettes to life.
THE PERFORMANCE
Explore At Your Own Pace
You have total freedom to explore the club, choosing what to watch and where to linger. Throughout the venue, you will encounter beautifully stylized performances exploring the themes of the Seven Deadly Sins:
- Interactive spaces where classic club settings are given an exciting theatrical twist.
- Captivating performances showcase incredible local talent, music, and dramatic storytelling.
- Hidden moments and surprise encounters are waiting to be discovered throughout the evening.
THE FINALE
The Grand Finale
While your journey through the venue is entirely up to you, the evening eventually draws everyone together for a final gathering. The experience builds toward a grand, stylized finale led by international icon Peaches Christ, promising to close the night out in spectacular fashion.
Dress Code: Dark Opulence
We invite you to dress for a night of high fashion and elegant shadow. Think cocktail attire or evening wear accented in blacks, deep jewel tones, and gold.
Masquerade masks are highly encouraged.
It will be a wonderful and decadent way to kick off our Pride celebrations.
